Formed in 2001, White Van Man first played in New Mills the night Torr Vale Mill burned down (a handy alibi) and have gigged regularly locally since, alongside venues like Blackpool Winter Gardens, the Great North Run beer tent and The Royal Albert Hall. They appeared on ITV's Stars In Their Eyes and Soap Fever (where Simon Cowell gave singer Tony Audenshaw 0 out of 10) as well as Emmerdale for Viv & Bob's wedding as The Ringtone 5 (John Patterson's first time drumming with the band) and again for Zak & Lisa's wedding with Dave Thunderchild, Hotshot Higgins & Tony moonlighting as half of The Woolpacke…

Youth Matters CIC provides support, services and opportunities for young and disadvantaged members of our local community. Our approach involves the collaboration with other community groups and event organisers to make best use of local skills, resources, and third party services. It is at the heart of our organisation to make these services as affordable as possible, if not completely free, and to be accessible to all. We also offer support to young people at risk of entering, or who have actually entered, the Criminal Justice System, through boxing classes and mentoring schemes.

If you are interested in the services available at or through our youth centre but unsure of costs or eligibility, please get in touch through our contact us page.
